Danny Lee Johnson Sr. was born April 11th, 1961 to Odessa Goodley and the late Benny Johnson Sr. in Manhattan, New York.
Educated in the Public School System, Danny went on to attend Hostos College. He entered the United States Army on October 27th, 1980 and trained at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, where he specialized in Adolescent Physical Therapy as well as Emergency Critical Care Transportation Unit Officer. He was an Entrepreneur and managed his own sales and merchandise business.
Danny was a people person who loved all women from 19 to 92 and all children. He was a nurturer who cared for his nieces as if they were his own; he was the world’s greatest Baby Sitter. He had an infectious smile, laugh and sense of humor. He had special powers to make anyone laugh with a great story to tell; and he always had one to tell.
Danny leaves to cherish his memory his loving family members including his beloved mother, Odessa Reed and deceased father, Benny Johnson Sr. The angels of his life his children from his union with Lori Brown: Leroy, Jason, Lauren, Danny Jr., Jamar, DaQuan, and deceased baby girl Monique.
Grandchildren: Leroy Jr., Mayannah, Jayonna, Jamar Jr. (deceased), Daniel, Heaven, Kendair, Kaliyah, and Jaylynn.
His siblings: Gloria Reed, Benny Jr., Mary, Ophelia Smith, and Chriscensia Valdez. Brothers-in-Laws: Hoay Smith and Derek Valdez.
A host of nieces especially: Kawana (aka sister), Santenique (aka daughter), nephews, and cousins.
With all the love of his “hot ones” and his “Boos” especially Edna his childhood sweetheart.
