Cost of the Disposition Permit
- New York City Disposition Permit Fee $40
- New York City EDRS (Electronic Death Registration System Fee) $28
In New York City, there is a fee to release the documentation in order to schedule a burial, entombment, cremation or to ship the human remains. In most cases, the permit is obtained electronically. There is a $40 for the actual permit and $28 for the EDRS (Electronic Death Registration System Fee) which includes the shipping of the death certificates.
