Richard Salvatore passed away July 16, 2018 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, MA with his husband, sisters-in-law, Joanne Grant, Nancy Grant and dear friend, Kristine Mazzeo at his side. He was born on December 19, 1960 in The Bronx. Richard was a resident of South Florida for over 30 years and more recently had a summer residence in Bourne, Massachusetts. He was an alumni of Pace University and worked at IBM for 30 years, most recently as a project manager. Richard leaves behind his husband, Robert C. Grant, with whom he shared his life for over 20 years and his beloved cats, Sebastian, Anthony and Betty. Also survived by sisters-in - law, Nancy Grant, Joanne Grant and Helen Miller; brother-in-laws, Frederick Grant and Walter Grant; several cousins (children of Tony and Netta Salvatore); many close friends in the Ft. Lauderdale and New York area, as well as throughout the United States and China. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen (Yurvaty) Salvatore and father, Vestiano Salvatore; uncle, Joseph Salvatore and his wife, Mary; aunt, Millie Salvatore; uncle Tony Salavtore and his wife Netta. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 9:30 am at Saint Benedict's Church. Entombment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery. Donations may be made in Rich’s memory to Good Karma Pet Rescue, PO Box 480273, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33348.
