To the Reyes Family: You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. We feel blessed to have shared so many holidays and special events with Maria and with some of you. Maria was a wonderful woman. I recall conversations about education and the children she taught. I can thank Maria for introducing me to pastelles, rice & beans, pernil and flan. Yummy! She was a great cook! You are a wonderful, kind and supportive family. I know she felt the love surrounding her. You -- her children and grandchildren are her legacy. She lives on in each of you and you make her proud. The Eskimos have a saying, "Perhaps they are not the stars but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy."
