Edward "Joseph" Goins, 78 passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017.in Co-op City, New York. He was born in Harlem, NY on March 7, 1938. Edward "Joseph" Goins was the son of the late Walter Robert Goins and Irene Winifred Goins. He and his wife Catherine Goins married September 10, 1966 and had a daughter Tanya Goins born September 9, 1972. He was a genuine people person and educated in NYC. He worked for The NY Daily News until his retirement. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Cathi, daughter Tanya of Co-op City, New York, His sister Dr. Betty Hylton (Dr. Robert) of Westbury, NY, sister Tina Goins of Thomasville, GA and his sister Leona Denham of Stroudsburg, PA. He also leaves behind his nephews Rob, Rodney, Ricky, Justin, Paul and nieces Ramona, Sonora, Denise, Susan, and Rashida as well as many other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Irene Goins, father Walter Goins, sister Frances Goins, and two brothers Bobby Goins and Richard Goins.
