I first met Fran at Cardinal Spellman HS when her son, Steven, was a student there and involved in The Cardinal's Players. The show that year (1977) was Camelot and I was working on costumes. Given the production the costumes were quite elaborate and were rented for the most part. However, for one very dramatic scene the director wanted to have the chorus draped in black capes. Without hesitation Fran volunteered to make the capes and what a wonderful job she did. Her generosity of time and talent were very apparent. A family friendship developed and even as my own children grew she often made chocolate bunnies for them for Easter and remained interested in their comings and goings. She will be missed.
