Obituary for Javier Crispin
Javier Crispin, 75, passed on Monday, April 10 after a long struggle with heart disease. He was born at home in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on December 4, 1941 and paperwork was filed for him on January 2, 1942, which became his legal birthday. He will be memorialized during a modest service at Old St. Raymond’s Cemetery on Friday, April 14 at 11 am.
To get to the burial location, please turn onto Waterbury Avenue off of East Tremont Avenue, and proceed into the cemetery on a narrow road. You will see the burial location due north (it’s section 22). In lieu of sending flowers, please just bring yourselves to celebrate Jay’s life and transition. Please note that all funeral flowers are quickly disposed of after the burial, so instead we hope you'll honor his memory by attending the service, and perhaps saying a few words if you feel comfortable doing so. After the burial, we will ‘have a pizza’ as he liked to say, at nearby Louie & Ernie’s at 1300 Crosby Avenue, Bronx 10461.
