I am deeply saddened by the passing of my Uncle Joey. Our entire family has lost so many so quickly and it doesn't get easier to deal with. My father, Matthew loved his younger brother, Joey very much. He was present in his life and in his death, waiting and comforting Joey along with their sister Joanie, and brother Jimmy. Their presence brought a smile to him despite his overwhelming pain. My Uncle shared with me his sorrow for past mistakes, his regret for not being able to marry Mary, the woman he has loved and his reminder above all that he always had so much love for us, his extended family. The gentle hugs and kisses we shared briefly will remain with me as a reminder the most beautiful kind of moments we can spend with others. The most basic and yet the most valuable things we need and can readily give. Prayers for you, Joey and Mary. And Uncle Joey, I will always be thinking of you. Say hi to my Dad for me. XOXO Love Mary
