Obituary for Raymond Casanas
Raymond Augusto Casanas Velez, 76 of Bronx, NY left this world on Sunday, May 30th, 2021 10:45PM, at St. Barnabas Hospital. He was born September 24, 1944, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Son of Juan F. and Teodora Casanas Velez.
Raymond had many jobs through his life but he was most proud of working maintenance in the World Trade Center. Raymond was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many people.
Raymond was preceded in death by both parents Juan and Teodora Casanas, three brothers, Paul, Federico and Jose Casanas and sister Yvonne Dell’aquila. He is survived by his daughter, Rosalinda Casanas Hyatt and her husband Thomas of, Van Buren, AR; son Raymond Casanas and wife Patty of, Mechanicsburg, PA; nieces Diana Casanas-Lester and husband Matthew of Islandia, NY, Nicole Andruszkiewicz and her husband Kevin of Long Island, NY, Ibelle Casanas of Long Island; two brothers, Edwin Casanas, of the Bronx and John Casanas and his wife Arleen of, Yonkers; one sister Olga Rodriguez of, Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren Cassandrah, Haylie, and TJ Hyatt; many other nieces and nephews.
A service of remembrance will be held Friday, June 4th, 2021 12:30PM at Rose Hill Cemetery 792 E Edgar Rd, Linden, NJ.
