Obituary for Pedro "The Great " Torres

Pedro Torres Garcia
Born May 6, 1943 in Naguabo Puerto Rico,
Beloved Father, Grandfather, Husband, Brother, Son, Uncle, etc.
A True Boriquen Pioneer, Warrior & Go-Getter….
He stood Strong and Firm on living life by Bi-Laws of Honor, Respect, Loyalty, Realness and Gratitude, for being able to have made a family of greatness, and noble.
Pedro Torres is one of many great men and women that impacted the United States in the 1950’s- with one goal of succeeding the American Dream, and arriving to NYC with a wave, that changed many lives in our urban neighborhoods. Pedro Torres is a unique man, with his sacrifice and not knowing bounds, or having limits to achieve success. Pedro Torres was a wise businessman, owned bodegas, gas stations, real estate, and was a proud city inspector. After graduating college, he met a beautiful young woman that birthed Daisy, Pedro Jr. and Fernando…
He overcame all challenges that crossed his path of life without taking shortcuts or cheating.
Love, Loyalty, Respect, Honor and Fairness is the only manner he lived his life.
His battle with illness and disease was a long battle. And as we all stand here today and witness him go in honor and respect.
Once again he overcame another challenge, by earning his real estate in the house of the Lord. There’s no Bigger Gift than living with God.
Amen.
