Obituary for Minister Raymond Rosado

Raymond Rosado was born June 10, 1947 in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, where he grew up until the age of 8. Raymond graduated from Samuel Gompers High School in the Bronx in 1966. He married Doris, his wife of 52 years, in 1969. He is survived by Doris, their two sons Raymond and Michael, their daughters-in-law Azalia and Kim, his brother Ashmed, as well as 7 granddaughters, 1 grandson, and 1 great-grandson.

Raymond was also an important member of Love Gospel Assembly church since 1976, where he was an Ordained Minister. He oversaw the Hospital Ministry, Stephen Ministry, Prison Ministry, and Temple Ministry. He was a member of the Men’s Ministry and was the Church Activities Coordinator.

Raymond survived a liver transplant in 1989 and beat stage 3 cancer in 2016. He was also a recipient of a kidney transplant in January 2021 before contracting COVID-19, the complications from which he passed away.

Raymond Rosado was a selfless, loving man, and a pillar of his community. He will be greatly missed by not only his family, but the thousands of people whose lives he touched over the years.
