Maddalena Mozzone Assalone, 95 was called to Heaven on Sunday March 13. Maddalena, devoted wife, mother, grand-mother and great-great mother was predeceased by Luigi, her loving husband of 70 years and by her son Pasquale; she is survived by three sons, Antonio, Clicerio and Giuseppe; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Maddalena was adored by many-many related family members here and Italy, Canada and Argentina, and many members of her extended family at the Wartburg nursing home. Mamma, mom, grandma, nonna, Zia Maddalena or Miss Madeleine, as she was known by so many, was the matriarch of the Assalone family into which she married at the age of 17.
