Our sweet Lori Almonte-Figueroa passed away on the morning of Monday February 18, 2019. She was under the care of the loving nurses of Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home in Stroudsburg, PA. Lori was born in New York City on May 13, 1980 to Julio Alberto Almonte and Casilda Almonte. She graduated 8th grade from Annunciation School. Upon graduating, her family moved to the Dominican Republic. Lori completed her high school studies at El Colegio Santo Tomas de Aquino in Santo Domingo. After losing her parents in a tragic car accident, Lori moved back to the States with her brother and sister in law in Tannersville, Pennsylvania. It was there where she met the love of her life, Adam. She was married in 2009. She obtained her Associates in Business from the University of Phoenix and while pregnant with her first born, Lori received a Bachelor of Science in Management. She went on to obtain her Master of Business Administration all of her degrees were obtained from the University of Phoenix. Lori went on to work at Philips Electronics, Chase Bank and last worked as a manager in the health care industry at Montefiore Hospital.
Together for 18 years, Lori is survived by her loving husband, Adam Figueroa and two daughters Maya, age 9, and Gia age 7; her father-in-law Alvin Figueroa; mother-in-law Ana Ojeda her step father-in-law Jose Soto; brother-in-law Kris, his wife Michelle and their children Logan and Arya; sister-in-law Cassie her husband Peter and their daughter Raegan; brother Julio his son Chris and his wife Marisa; brother Moises, his wife Mary Ann and their children Adam, his wife Katelyn, Matthew and Alejandra; sister Casilda, her husband Franklin and their children Emily, Gabriel and Leslie; brother Juan and his partner Gary; sister Rosario, her husband Fernando and their daughter Gady, her husband Scott and their sons Jacob and Cole.
She is eternally grateful to all those who cared for her.
