Obituary for Jose Ramon Olmo
Jose Ramon "Ray" Olmo, age 87, passed away on January 4, 2023.
Ray was born on November 28,1935 in Spanish Harlem. He graduated from Brooklyn High School of Automotive Trades June 1953. Ray then joined the United States Army December 1953.
On September 3, 1960, Ray married Amparo “Cudie” Aromi and they settled in the Bronx to start their family.
Ray spent over 50 years working in the automobile industry including as a car salesman throughout NYC and Long Island. He also worked as a 911 Operator in Suffolk County before retiring to Orlando Florida.
Ray was a lot of things to many people. The son to Carmen and Jose Olmo. The brother to Rosie, Richard, Thomas and Robert. The father to Diana, Jose and Richard. The grandfather to Brandon, Triston, Tyler and Jaelyn. The great grandpa to Ariya, Camryn and Aidan. The father-in-law to Mary and Joanna. Uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Army Veteran. Friend to all.
