Obituary for Heriberto Durand
Heriberto Durand known to family and friends as Eddie, age 59, passed away on April 7th, 2022 at Albert Einstein Hospital in Bronx, NY. Eddie was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico on May 14th, 1962 to Ana & Joaquin Durand. He is survived by his loving wife, Milagros Durand, his children Eric(Kristina) and Yesenia(Philip) along with his beautiful grandchildren, Kaylee, Elena, and Chloe.
Eddie worked as a doorman for 30+ years but his favorite job was taking care of his grandchildren since the eldest grandchild was born. He adored his mother and father and did everything possible to care for them while they were alive, as we know he is doing the same now in heaven. He was married 38 years to the love of his life Millie Durand (Milagros). Their love was so strong and they cared so much for each other every single day, in every single way. He was the most amazing and loving father to their two children, Eric and Yesenia and the best father in law to Kristina and Philip. He loved his family to his core. Family was the foundation of his life and would always instill this in his children. He absolutely adored each of his granddaughters Kaylee, Elena and Chloe. He spent every day of their lives with them and they will never forget him. He was also very much in love with his two puppies Bella and Charlie, whom we are sure he is walking up in heaven as we speak. This loss is extreme for the Durand family. He was their entire life and this has impacted their whole world. The Durand Family promises to always talk, think about and spread the love for their husband, father and Grandfather for all eternity. We love you Eddie, Dad, and Papa.
