Filomena Cerra was granted her angel wings on February 22, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving family at her bedside. She was a devoted mother to her children Antonio, Anna and Nadia. Grandmother to Massimo, Alessia and Giancarlo. Born on January 17, 1933, just having completed her 88th birthday, a woman who enjoyed playing “tombola” with family every weekend. She loved cooking her spectacular meals for her family each and every day. The matriarch of the family, Filomena, imparted all the values that made us who we are today, and to value family above all else.

Landing in the USA on February 14, 1971, she and her beloved husband Mario, made the biggest sacrifice coming to a country hoping for a better life for their family.

Filomena is preceded by her husband Mario, sisters Rosa & Antonietta, and brother Tommaso. She is survived by her sister Cristina who resides in Italy, son Antonio Cerra, daughter Anna Cerra and her husband Vincenzo Roppo, daughter Nadia Conte and her husband Silverio Conte, and grandchildren: Massimo, Alessia, & Giancarlo.
