Eddie was born in the Bronx ,NY on November 24, 1968 to Jose and Socorro Barreto. He was a son, brother, partner, friend, father to 5 daughters 1 son, and grandfather to 3.
Eddie was best known for his selfless nature and self sacrifice. To him, family was everything and his kids were his life. There was not a single thing he wouldn't do to further their well being and happiness.
Eddie will be remembered for his kind heart, for his smile, and for his sense of humor. The laughs that he shared with his loved ones are some of their most cherished memories.
Eddie could never be pinned down as any one thing, he was - and is - everything.
He finished out his career working for the NY Department of Sanitation, until a devastating stroke forever changed his life in 2019. Eddie was always a fighter and he was a true survivor. He continued to fight on for 3 good years. He was recruited into the next life on May 28, 2022 following cardiac arrest.
He will forever be dubbed by his children, their own personal "super hero" in this life, the next, and into the hereafter.
