Obituary for David A. Brown

David Allen Brown
August 21, 1947 to November 6, 2022

It is with deep sorrow and fond memories that we celebrate the life of David Allen Brown. David was born to Jeannette and John Brown in Emporium Pennsylvania, a small rural community, on August 21, 1947. He and his three siblings were raised in a Christian home where prayer, Bible study and church attendance were the fabric of daily life. His belief in the Lord helped him navigate the struggles he encountered during his lifetime. David cared deeply about the people that came into his life. He prayed for people and encouraged family and friends to turn to Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

David had a very generous and hospitable nature, as many of you have experienced. He loved to serve others and he always delighted in hosting dinner parties for friends and family. He went to great lengths to make sure every need and desire would be met. His motto could have been “your wish is my command.” Being kind and thoughtful brought him and the people he helped great joy. David also loved music. He could play the piano beautifully. Friends and family always enjoyed listening to him. He also played the trombone in high school and sang in his college choir.

Over the past several years, David experienced many significant health challenges. A recent illness brought him to the end of his life. Our hearts are comforted to know that he is with our heavenly Father and is no longer suffering. He often talked about heaven, read books about heaven and now he is experiencing the joy of heaven. He fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith.

David is survived by his wife Rosemarie Tuminaro Brown; son and daughter-in-law Jason & Courtney; two delightful granddaughters, Emma and Savannah; brothers, John and Jan Brown; sister Jeanette Korchowsky; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
