Carole Sue Allen Hobbs born May 21, 1950 passed peacefully with her soul mate by her side February 18, 2021 at Regional Hospice.

She was married in Hawthorne NY on June 21, 1981. Carole attended North Eastern University and then later in her adult life followed her calling to become a registered nurse. She graduated from Cochran School of Nursing in Yonkers, NY. She proudly received her golden star at Putnam Hospital, serving 25 years as an ICU and homecare nurse. Her passions were her family, volunteering at the Center of Compassion, her cats, knitting and of course her love for shopping. Her favorite place to find serenity was Bethany Beach DE.
Carole is predeceased by her mother and father; Teddy and Harry Allen.
Carole spent every Wednesday volunteering at the Center of Compassion assuring that the under severed were clothed and fed. She helped organize Thanksgiving run and Christmas for the children. In addition to her work at the Center of Compassion, she spent time loving her grandchildren. They were her breath. She made them feel special, never judged and provided guidance without judgment. She encouraged her daughters to be the best versions of themselves and solved all unsolvable problems with a pot of chicken soup and a kiss on the “keppie”. Her favorite color was blue. Her favorite flowers were lilacs.
Carole and Paul built a beautiful life together. They were each other’s rock. They enjoyed their trips to Bethany Beach, family dinners and Saturday night date night. She will be in his heart and part of his soul forever.
Let a light shine on your beautiful face shayna punim.
A celebration of life will follow this spring. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to these two charities; NAMI and the Center of Compassion.
