Arthur J. Rapisardi, 96 years old passed away on November 4, 2019, survived by his lovely wife Mercedes, and his son John, daughter-in-law Loretta and grandsons, John Lawrence and Paul Ross. Fought in Patton’s Third U.S. Army, 94th Infantry Division during WWII. Wounded in combat on February 20, 1945; awarded Purple Heart and Bronze Star for courage and valor. Appointed to NYPD in 1951 and assigned to the 23rd precinct for 1 year before transferring to 43rd precinct for the rest of his career until retiring in 1978. He graduated from Fordham University after retirement earning a BA degree in Psychology.
