Brother Robert LeClerc, FMS, 84, a member of the Marist Brothers of the Schools for 67 years, died on August 26, 2017 at De LaSalle Hall in Lincroft, NJ.

Brother Robert was born in Burlington, VT. He entered the Marist Brothers Postulancy in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1949 and entered the Marist Brothers Novitiate in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1950. He professed first vows in 1951. After completing his religious and academic studies at Marist College, Poughkeepsie, New York, he began nearly 60 years of teaching at Central Catholic HS in Lawrence, MA, Mount St. Michael Academy in Bronx, NY, Cardinal Hayes HS, Bronx, NY, Marist High School in Eugene, OR, and Our Lady of Lourdes HS in Poughkeepsie, NY. Brother Robert was a devout Marist religious and a leader in the field of Mathematics education.

Br. Robert’s wake and funeral will be held on Wednesday August 30, 2017 at Mount St. Michael Academy, 4300 Murdock Ave, Bronx, His burial will be on Thursday August 31, 2017 at 11:00am at the Marist Brothers Cemetery in Esopus, NY.
